What do you do for a living?

Electronic technician.

How did you get into diving?

I’ve been in and around water my entire life. I can’t remember a time that I wasn’t enamored by water. Television shows like Sea Hunt and Jacques Cousteau cemented my fascination. But it wasn’t until my wife and I were invited on a vacation to Hawaii that I was to realize my dream. My wife surprised me with the gift of scuba as a Christmas present in 2004.

What is your favorite dive destination?

Southern California and the Channel Islands hold a very special place in my diving heart, though there’s no place I’ve been that I wouldn’t return to.

What is your favorite marine life to dive with?

I’m always on the lookout for sharks and rays.

What is your favorite part about teaching people how to scuba dive?

Like most instructors I have this overwhelming desire to share my own fascination of the underwater realm with others.
